چکیده

Abstract Gray mold is a destructive disease caused by Botrytis cinerea , pervasive plant pathogen, which poses threat to both tomato growth and postharvest storage. The utilization of induced resistance presents potential strategy for combating pathogenic attacks. ZNC (zhinengcong), an extract derived from the endophytic fungus Paecilomyces variotii has been discovered play vital role in preventing diverse forms bacterial infections. Nevertheless, precise mechanism behind its ability enhance fungi remains unclear. In this study, we found that exogenous spraying could significantly improve plants B. . results metabolomic analysis high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) demonstrated responded treatment accumulating high levels rutin. Additional transcriptome uncovered rutin enhances possible initiating generation reactive oxygen species (ROS) phosphorylation mitogen-activated protein kinases (MPKs) related genes expression during initial phase invasion addition, also might activate immunity eliciting ethylene (ET) jasmonic acid (JA)-mediated pathways. Therefore, immune inducer bright application prospects value control gray mold. Graphical

‘Omics’ and Plant Responses to Botrytis cinerea

Botrytis cinerea is a dangerous plant pathogenic fungus with wide host ranges. This aggressive pathogen uses multiple weapons to invade and cause serious damages on its host plants. The continuing efforts of how to solve the "puzzle" of the multigenic nature of B. cinerea's pathogenesis and plant defense mechanisms against the disease caused by this mold, the integration of omic approaches, inc...

Botrytis cinerea manipulates the antagonistic effects between immune pathways to promote disease development in tomato.

Plants have evolved sophisticated mechanisms to sense and respond to pathogen attacks. Resistance against necrotrophic pathogens generally requires the activation of the jasmonic acid (JA) signaling pathway, whereas the salicylic acid (SA) signaling pathway is mainly activated against biotrophic pathogens. SA can antagonize JA signaling and vice versa. Here, we report that the necrotrophic path...

Anilinopyrimidine Resistance in Botrytis cinerea Is Linked to Mitochondrial Function

Crop protection anilinopyrimidine (AP) fungicides were introduced more than 20 years ago for the control of a range of diseases caused by ascomycete plant pathogens, and in particular for the control of gray mold caused by Botrytis cinerea. Although early mode of action studies suggested an inhibition of methionine biosynthesis, the molecular target of this class of fungicides was never fully c...

The Nitrogen Availability Interferes with Mycorrhiza-Induced Resistance against Botrytis cinerea in Tomato

Mycorrhizal plants are generally quite efficient in coping with environmental challenges. It has been shown that the symbiosis with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) can confer resistance against root and foliar pathogens, although the molecular mechanisms underlying such mycorrhiza-induced resistance (MIR) are poorly understood. Tomato plants colonized with the AMF Rhizophagus irregularis dis...

Isolate Dependency of Brassica rapa Resistance QTLs to Botrytis cinerea

Generalist necrotrophic pathogens including Botrytis cinerea cause significant yield and financial losses on Brassica crops. However, there is little knowledge about the mechanisms underlying the complex interactions encoded by both host and pathogen genomes in this interaction. This potentially includes multiple layers of plant defense and pathogen virulence mechanisms that could complicate in...
